Rattlesnake Point
The first of the these two mountain escarpments, Rattlesnake Point offers a fantastic view of the surrounding farmland. Like mount Nemo, one can park at the top of the mountain but it is rather expensive. Make it a day and park at one of the parking lot at the hills base and walk up the short elevation to its top.
When you make it up the mountain a circular trail will take you around the mountain giving the walker sweeping vistas of the landscape.
From this vantage point, you will get a sublime view of Mt. Memo itself in the distance. On a clear day one can even see lake Ontario.
Where on a good day, even in winter in my case, one will get an amazing view of the sun basqued landscape.
Mount Nemo
This mountain ridge reminds me of Old Baldy, another one of the Bruce Peninsula Hikes. This mountain has a nice bow shaped limestone crest at its top.
Once again I parked at the bottom of the hill and walked up!
With the final section of the perilous winter climb accessed via a stepladder.
The top loop includes many trench like crevices and caves.
As well as views of the landscape. On a clear day one can even see Toronto in the distance.
