High Falls (NY) – Chateaugay’s Hidden Gem
Location and Description
Located in a forgotten corner of northern New York State, this lovely waterfall towers above the surrounding landscape. Located south of the small town of Chateaugay, not far from the Canadian Border, you would be hard pressed to find the place without having previous knowledge of its existence. The 30 meter (120 foot) behemoth is subdivided by four tiers but his tucked away from the town and is privately owned by the High Falls Park Campground.
Access
To access the falls, pay the toll at the High Falls Park Campground (a very reasonable 2-3$ at the time of my visit). From here you can walk to the falls themselves.
